Organ at the Duruflé Academy

organ at the MDA

The organ program at the Maurice Duruflé Academy of Music prepares students for careers as soloists, teachers, and church musicians.

Duruflé Academy organists have the opportunity to practice and perform on our an extensive collection of fine instruments within Winston-Salem. Students will be able to play the Sarah Graham Kenan Memorial Organ in Crawford Hall at UNCSA; the Flentrop Organ in Shirley Hall at Salem College; The Holtkamp Organ in Hanes Hall at Salem College; the Schantz organ of Southside Baptist Church; The Tannenburg organ in Old Salem; as well as other wonderful instruments in the triad/Piedmont areas.

“I play the notes as they are written, but it is God who makes the music.”
